Chopper 4 footage captured FWC officers near the boat at the Coral Gables residence. Attempts to gather information from the home’s occupants were unsuccessful, with no one willing to provide details when approached by NDH News Miami’s Peter D’Oench.

FWC spokesman George Renaud expressed gratitude to the public for its support and assistance, noting that the boat’s owner is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Renaud emphasized the agency’s commitment to working tirelessly to bring closure to Ella Adler’s family during this difficult time.

The tragic incident occurred on Saturday afternoon while Adler was water skiing near the Nixon Beach sandbar. She fell into the water while being towed and was struck by another boat whose operator did not stop. It remains unclear whether the boat’s driver was aware of the collision.

FWC Chairman Rodney Barreto commended the agency’s efforts in mobilizing resources across the state to locate the vessel involved in the accident. The investigation is ongoing, with the vessel’s owner fully cooperating.

Adler’s funeral service was held on Monday at Temple Beth Sholom in Miami Beach, drawing hundreds of mourners. Family friend Robert Strauss urged vigilance on the waterways, emphasizing the importance of paying attention to safety precautions.

In a statement released through their attorney Etan Mark, the Adler family requested privacy as they grieve the loss of Ella, describing her as a radiant presence who brought immense joy during her 15 years.

Ella Adler was a freshman at Ransom Everglades High School and a member of the Miami City Ballet. Close family friend Loren Pearson shared his profound grief, highlighting Ella’s bright future and the devastating impact of her loss.

Miami City Ballet also expressed deep sorrow over Ella’s passing, remembering her as a cherished student and performer. The investigation into this tragic incident remains open, and authorities encourage anyone with information or video footage to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
