Fighters who competed at UFC 301 last Saturday collectively received $280,000 in UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay. This program, which encompasses outfitting standards, media commitments, and other elements outlined in the fighter code of conduct, has replaced the previous compensation structure of the UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy. UFC 301 was held at the Rio Arena, with the main card broadcast on pay-per-view following preliminaries on ESPN2 and ESPN+.

Under the UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program’s payout structure, which allocates funds from Venum’s multi-year sponsorship with the UFC, fighters are compensated based on their total number of UFC bouts, including fights from the Zuffa-era WEC (January 2007 onwards) and Zuffa-era Strikeforce (April 2011 onwards). Here’s how the payouts are distributed:

  • Fighters with 1-3 bouts receive $4,000 per appearance.
  • Fighters with 4-5 bouts receive $4,500.
  • Fighters with 6-10 bouts receive $6,000.
  • Fighters with 11-15 bouts earn $11,000.
  • Fighters with 16-20 bouts pocket $16,000.
  • Fighters with 21 bouts or more receive $21,000.
  • Champions earn $42,000, and title challengers receive $32,000.

Additionally, UFC fighters are entitled to ongoing royalty payments of 20-30% of the sales from UFC merchandise featuring their likeness, as confirmed by officials.
