Shakira Spotted During First Copa America Halftime Show at the 2024 Final Match

Presenting herself as Verizon, Shakira dazzled the audience with a medley of her classic and recent hits during the Argentina vs. Colombia game. She opened her set with “Hips Don’t Lie,” and in the middle of the song, she passionately shouted, “Te Quiero, Colombia!” (I love you, Colombia). Accompanied by a dynamic group of dancers, including both humans and robots, she continued her set with “Te Felicito,” “TQG,” and “Puntería,” showcasing her incredible dancing skills. This was Shakira’s Copa America debut.

Shakira’s new artistic age, symbolized by flying jewels and enormous 3D wolves, were featured in the TV broadcast, adding to the extravaganza.
Although Shakira has headlined many major sporting events, including the Super Bowl, the World Cup, the Davis Cup, and the NBA All-Star Game, this was her first appearance at the oldest international soccer competition, Copa America. Additionally, it was the first soccer match to incorporate a halftime spectacle like to the Super Bowl that lasted longer than fifteen minutes. Because this year’s Copa America was held in the United States, where halftime spectacles of this kind are customary, the organizers took use of this.

Declared in a statement, Alejandro Domínguez, president of CONMEBOL, “Shakira is an extraordinary South American star who has dazzled the entire world.”Globally, people sing and dance to her tunes, making her art a multi-million dollar phenomenon that knows no bounds to national boundaries. Her presence in the Copa América USA 2024 would surely enhance the message of harmony and constructive fervor in sports.
The national anthems of Argentina and Colombia were performed by Abel Pintos and Karol G, two other Colombian artists, respectively, prior to Shakira’s performance. Maluma and Feid, two other well-known musicians, were also present at the game.

Copa América 2024 is streamed on FuboTV, DirecTV Stream, and TUND’s platforms, while it is televised in Spanish on Univision, TUND, and UniMás in the United States. FOX, Fubo Sports, Fox Sports App, FOXsports.com, TyC Sports International, and FOX Sports 1 broadcasted the halftime show.
