There are no little roles for Natalie Portman.
During a Monday visit on “Today,” the Oscar-winning actress talked about her guest part on the children’s cartoon series “Bluey.” In the third season of the 2021–2022 Critics Choice–nominated program, Portman made a brief appearance.
As Hoda Kotb reviewed the actress’s lengthy acting resume, she told Portman she was “surprised” to see the voiceover performance.
“It’s the most crucial one,” Portman said. I was the narrator of a nature documentary that they were viewing.”
Puppies Bluey and Bingo watch a television program on whales in their living room, which is narrated by Portman in the episode named “Whale Watching.”
Why, according to Natalie Portman, “Bluey” is the show “we need”
“It’s a very important show for my family,” Portman said to Kotb. She and her ex-husband Benjamin Millepied have a 13-year-old son named Aleph and a 7-year-old daughter named Amalia. “I felt deeply honored to have the opportunity to be a part of this event.”
“Bluey,” a 2018 animated feature by Australian Joe Brumm, is about the daily adventures of Blue Heeler puppy Bluey and her adorably cute dog family.
The “heartwarming” series “captures the spirit of play, the reality of parenting, and the beauty of childhood all in crisp, seven-minute episodes,” according to USA TODAY’s TV critic Kelly Lawler’s July review.
“Bluey Minisodes” is a 3-part mini-episode series that follows Bluey and Bingo on their escapades. On July 3, the first seven mini-episodes were released on Disney+.
