Drake Denies The Claim About His Secret Daughter

Drake responded to Kendrick Lamar on Friday night with a diss track aimed at the California rapper, following Lamar’s release of two diss tracks against Drake. Lamar quickly fired back with another track, alleging that Drake has a secret daughter (which Drake seemed to deny), escalating their ongoing feud.

Drake, a Canadian hip-hop artist with five Grammy Awards, dropped a new single titled “Family Matters” in retaliation to Lamar’s recent diss tracks “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA.”

In “Family Matters,” Drake criticized Lamar’s engagement to Whitney Alford and their son, rapping: “Why you never hold your son and tell him, ‘say cheese’” (Lamar had previously attacked Drake’s fatherhood in “Euphoria”).

Drake also targeted Lamar’s persona, suggesting Lamar is “just playing an activist, it’s all pretend, but you won’t return to your neighborhood and contribute financially,” referencing Lamar’s song “Money Trees” from “Good Kid, m.A.A.d. City.”

Lamar then responded to Drake with “Meet the Grahams,” alluding to Drake’s legal name, Aubrey Drake Graham.

In the song, Lamar, a 17-time Grammy Award winner, mentioned Drake’s son Adonis, addressing him at the start of the song, saying, “Dear Adonis, I’m sorry that that man is your father,” and adding: “It takes a man to be a man, your dad is not attentive.”

Lamar also criticized Drake’s parents, stating “your son has bad habits” and suggesting they “raised a terrible person,” before hinting that Drake may have fathered a daughter he has never acknowledged publicly, saying: “Should be teaching you math or watching ‘Frozen’ with you … instead, he’s in Turks, paying for sex and taking drugs.”

Lamar continued to criticize Drake as a “narcissist, misogynist, living through his songs,” addressing Drake’s alleged secret daughter in “Meet the Grahams,” claiming he’s “sorry that your father is not involved in your life,” and that Drake doesn’t “commit to much other than his music.”

Drake denied Lamar’s accusation of having a secret daughter in an Instagram story on Saturday afternoon, writing: “nahhhh hold on can someone find my hidden daughter pls and send her to me.”

Drake and Lamar, two prominent rappers of their era, have been trading jabs for more than ten years. Their longstanding feud came back into focus this year after the release of a track by rappers Future and Metro Boomin featuring Lamar called “Like That.” In this song, Lamar criticized Drake’s 2023 collaboration with J. Cole titled “First Person Shooter,” where Cole and Drake referred to themselves along with Lamar as the “big three.” Lamar’s comeback: “It’s just big me.”

Drake fired back at Lamar last month with the songs “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle,” poking fun at Lamar’s height (reportedly around 5 feet 6 inches) and his penchant for teaming up with mainstream pop artists like Taylor Swift. Lamar responded with a diss track called “Euphoria,” a six-minute release earlier this week as a retort to “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle,” following Drake’s deleted Instagram post calling for Lamar’s response.

In “Euphoria,” Lamar took aim at Drake’s personal life, rapping: “I’ve got a son to raise, but it looks like you don’t know anything about that” (both Drake and Lamar are fathers).

The ongoing feud between Drake and Lamar has expanded to include a circle of other rappers such as J. Cole, Pusha T, A$AP Rocky, and Kanye West. In recent weeks, the estate of the late rapper Tupac Shakur got involved in the dispute by issuing a cease and desist order to stop the streaming of Drake’s . In response, Drake promptly removed the song from streaming platforms.
